Get touchy feely at PDM 2011
ELASTO, a leader in the development and manufacture of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) materials, will be encouraging visitors to their stand at Plastics Design & Moulding 2011 to ‘Touch it, Flex it, Grip it, Stretch it!’ The aim is to highlight the tactile appeal of TPEs and the role haptics can play in product design.
On display will be material samples from the company’s leading TPE brands; Dryflex and Mediprene, showcasing the array of properties and design possibilities their range has to offer. Materials are available as gel-soft zero shore A through to 65 shore D hardnesses, silky or non-slip surface finish in a range of colours and effects. They offer excellent adhesion to engineering thermoplastics in over-moulding and co-extrusion applications.
Dominic Philpot, business manager at ELASTO UK commented “As consumers are increasingly demanding aesthetic appeal as well as functional attributes, the feel of a product can create as much emotional connection as the colour or shape. ELASTO works with product designers to deliver custom compounded TPE solutions that add value to a range of markets including medical, automotive, construction and consumer, examples of which will be on display on our stand at PDM”.
At PDM ELASTO will be on stand 18.
