HEXPOL TPE showcase Thermoplastic Elastomers for household and consumer electronics at Plastpol

Visitors to the Plastpol exhibition taking place 23 to 26 May in Kielce, Poland can see HEXPOL TPE’s portfolio of Thermoplastic Elastomer compounds for automotive, construction and household appliances.

“Poland and CEE are growing markets for us and we’re happy to be exhibiting again at Plastpol, together with our distribution partners NRC Polska,” commented Philippe Julien-Labruyère, sales director HEXPOL TPE. “We are seeing some interesting projects, particularly in the household appliance sector. Here we work with customers to develop customised compounds for applications such as vacuum cleaners, refrigerators and other white goods”.

Among the solutions HEXPOL TPE will present at Plastpol will be:

Dryflex TPV – these thermoplastic vulcanisate compounds are being used for sealing in clothes dryers where there are requirements for high service temperatures and resistance to fluids. Dryflex TPV compounds have been designed to retain compression set and dynamic sealing properties over long periods of time and at elevated temperatures. Grades are available with low viscosity and high-flow properties for injection moulded sealing applications with long and complex flow paths.

Dryflex DW - a special range of TPE compounds for applications that come into contact, either directly or indirectly, with drinking water. Dryflex DW TPE compounds have passed German drinking water regulations, they have been tested and approved according to ‘The Guideline for hygienic Assessment of Organic Materials in Contact with Drinking Water’ (KTW Guideline) for cold and warm water (23°C / 60°C). Dryflex DW TPE compounds are available in hardnesses from 50 to 90 Shore A. Typical applications for Dryflex DW TPE compounds can include both domestic and commercial applications such as plumbing seals, pipe fittings and shower-heads.

Dryflex Touch - a range of TPEs designed to give a superior silky feel and touchably soft sensation. Several series have been developed with properties designed for applications such as wearable technology, consumer electronics, smartphone and tablet protective cases. Dryflex Touch TPE compounds have a smooth and velvety feel that is non-sticky and easy to clean. They also offer good scratch and abrasion resistance; all of which helps to enhance the durability, appearance and aesthetics of the final application. Dryflex Touch grades are available in a range of hardnesses from 40 to 90 Shore A and are easy to colour in a variety of vibrant shades.

HEXPOL TPE is exhibiting at Plastpol 2017 in booth #D57.
